The San Carlos City Tourism Office hosted a 2-day re-orientation for organizers of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) organizers, including restaurants and accommodation establishment, on the latest COVID-19 Health and Safety protocol.

The orientation ensures that organizers are fully aware of the guidelines in guest handling, operations of MICE venues and facilities, and suppliers under the new normal.

Jennifer Saballa, Tourism Operations Officer 1, said that it is important to set guidelines under the new normal to ensure the health and safety of customers as well as the workers of the establishments from the corana virus disease-2019 (COVID-19).

Saballa also cited that the re-orientation is in line with Section 3 of the Executive Order no. 01, series of 2021 which stated that hotels, restaurants, bars, resto-pubs, resorts and the like may operate until 12 midnight but subject to the minimum health protocol and 50% limitation on seating capacity before they could get a Special Permit issued by the City Mayor.

MICE Organizers and venue operators of 10.9, Ma. Awani, Shell Function Room, Teacher’s Coop, Carmel’s Inn and Restaurant, Palau Hotel, Dungganon, Alger’s Community center and City Auditorium attended the said orientation.
