San Carlos lawn tennis team shines with 3 gold medals in Palarong Panlalawigan

The San Carlos City lawn tennis team has once again proved their skills and talent as they bagged three gold and three silver medals during the recent Palarong Panlalawigan held in Bacolod City from March 30 to April 2, 2023.

The team’s outstanding performance includes Herman M. Illusorio and Kirby D. Ramacho, who won the secondary boys double gold medal, while Maria Rio Isabelle D. Carmona, together with Princess Chloe T. Tortusa of Escalante City, took home the secondary girls double gold medal.

John Aaron A. Dancil also contributed to the team’s success by winning the silver medal in the secondary boys single event, together with Vinz Mary V. Peñalosa and Herman M. Illusorio, who won the secondary mixed doubles silver medal.

The gold medalists will undergo intensive training and prepare for the upcoming Regional Meet in the Province of Aklan, which will start on April 24.

Gold medalist Maria Rio Isabelle D. Carmona expressed her happiness in representing San Carlos City in the Palarong Panlalawigan, and credits their hard work during training for their success.

The team presented their awards to the City Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Administrator on April 4 at the City Mayor’s Office.
