The local government of Bacolod City has once again postponed the mass wedding slated on March 3, Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez announced on his Facebook page. This is the second time that the event has been pushed back.

The “Officially You & Me sa 2023” mass wedding event, which aims to have 2,023 couples tying the knot in celebration of the year 2023, was initially scheduled for February 14, 2023. However, it was postponed after it did not meet the target number of participating couples.

But in an announcement released by the mayor yesterday, he said that the working committee is still finalizing the details of the mass wedding which is scheduled to take place next month.

Benitez said the new schedule will be announced very soon.

The mass wedding, which is an annual event in Bacolod, is typically held on Valentine’s Day and is open to all couples who wish to participate. It is a much-anticipated event in the city, with hundreds of couples signing up to participate each year.
