The provincial office of the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was placed under lockdown today, April 5 until further notice after their personnel were exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient, its office said in a statement.
TESDA said its office will be disinfected and sanitized to ensure the safety and health of their clients, partners and employees.
Meanwhile, due to COVID-19 infection of a number of their employees, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Bacolod will be closed until April 12. After being exposed to colleagues who tested positive, all workers will be subjected to a mandatory quarantine, the election bureau said.
COMELEC said that those who made appointments online between today until April 12 will be accommodated once their office reopens next week.
CASINO CLOSED TOO
After 9 of their employees tested positive for the corona virus, the operations of Casino in Bacolod were also halted on April 3 to allow for a thorough disinfection and sanitation. The games and amusement hub is expected to re-open today, April 5.
According to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) those who tested positive were already extracted for strict quarantine.
As of yesterday, Bacolod has recorded a total of 281 cases, with 13 new cases after 2 employees from the City Engineer’s Office tested positive and 1 from the Mayor’s Office.
