A motorcyclist and his backride were killed when a sugarcane truck hit a motorcycle they are riding along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road in Talisay City, this afternoon, February 13.
Killed were motorcylce driver, Allan Bidonia, 55-year-old, and 22 years old, Rodrigo Bidonia, all residents of Dos Hermanas, Talisay City.
Quoting witnesses, police said both the truck and the motorcycle were travelling on the same direction when the sugarcane truck sideswipe the victims.
Because of the impact, the victims were thrown out of their motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. The victims were no longer brought to the nearest hospital by first responders from Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sugarcane truck is now under the custody of Talisay police after he voluntarily surrendered. It is not yet known if a case will be filed against him by the Bidonias.
