As schools pivoted to remote learning amid the pandemic, adopting educational technology was that first indispensable step to navigating the academe’s new reality.

With this in mind, the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City made the important decision to invest in Globe’s School Management System—enabling seamless digital transformation for the entire institution through automating and centralizing school data and processes.

“Our partnership with Globe empowered us with the right digital tools to ensure that the online learning experience we provide is supported by the digitalization of our day-to-day operations,” said Ernest Ybanez, IT Head of the University of St. La Salle. “Going fully digital in our workflow not only enhances our students’ learning experience but also creates a safe and productive environment for our teachers and staff in the new normal.”

Ensuring high-quality education through digital transformation

University of St. La Salle, the De La Salle Brothers’ second-oldest campus established in 1952, has a long history of providing high-quality Christian educational services to young Filipinos.

With Globe’s School Management System, the Bacolod-based school quickly and efficiently streamlined its processes for online registration, admission, and enrollment. In addition, the System provided the school community with an online platform that enables better collaboration and communication among school administrators, faculty, parents, and students.

Upgrading to the new system also automated paperwork, allowing school staff and teachers to easily collect and retrieve files. Managing school finances and tracking payables and receivables have also been made simpler under the system.

“Adopting Globe’s School Management System is more cost-efficient for the school because we don’t need to engage multiple suppliers to achieve all these things,” said Ybanez. He added that the system also paved the way for greater transparency among school administrators while maintaining confidentiality.
