Mayor Richard Jaojoco of Toboso town is always ahead of the curve. Today, the mayor confirms on his Facebook post that his town is renting a facility in Bacolod where they can house watchers from his town whose patients are admitted in Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The mayor’s proactive move follows after dozens of hospital watchers spent their nights on the cold, dusty, and sometimes wet sidewalks of Bacolod. This after the hospital barred watchers inside the hospital as part of its measure against COVID-19.

The mayor shared on his FB post photos of the facilities with a caption: “para sa atong mga pinalanggang Toboseño”.

The rented facility is just near the hospital and can accommodate up to 16 persons.

The mayor said watchers from his town may directly message him should they need a space to stay at while attending to their patients.

It was in September when the hospital implemented its “No Watchers Policy” for the protection of the in-patients and hospital workers.
