Two Tech4Ed Centers or “Computer Hub ng Bayan” were opened in Barangay Dos Hermanas and Barangay Concepcion in Talisay City, Negros Occidental to bridge digital and education divide in the community, the Department of Information Communications Technology said.

The centers received equipment packages through the office of 3rd Congressman Francisco Benitez during the simple turn-over and ribbon-cutting ceremonies that was personally attended by the congressman. Joining him were Talisay Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Mr. Nicolai Jalandoni; SP Member/Committee on Educaton, Carl Lizares; together with the Dos Hermanas and Concepcion Barangay Council; and DICT Negros Occidental Provincial Office Assistant Provincial Officer, Engr. Mary Jane Maravilla, Tech4ED Project Development Officer II, Cresile Lozano and ILCDB Planning Officer I, Gian Joy V. Catiempo.

The communities of the two barangays extends their overwhelming gratitude as the Tech4ED project ensured that ICT services are now accessible for free, and conveniently within their reach.
