Tagay (Cheers) in between acrylic dividers on the table will soon be part of the new norm in San Carlos City as part of its anti-COVID-19 pandemic public health measure, as it allows hotels, restaurants, bars, restobars, resorts and the like to operate until 12 midnight.

In his Executive Order No. 21, series of 2021 San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo orders all establishments serving liquors, wines, coffee/beverages to the public for a fee, to install transparent dividers/barriers in between customers.

The EO specifies the need to install a 50cm x 50cm dimension per divider/ barrier and will be subject to evaluation/assessment by authorized personnel from the City Health Office and the City Tourism Office and approval of the City Mayor.

Pending approval of the required transparent dividers/barriers as installed, no serving of liquors, wines, coffee/beverages shall be served or extended to the customers by such establishments, the EO stated.

The EO will take effect immediately according to Gustilo.
