San Carlos mayor urges residents to get inoculated

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo talked to the Punong Barangays of the city yesterday, May 19,2021 urging them to encourage their constituents to get vaccinated.

He told Punong Barangays to convince their constituents to avail of the vaccination especially the vulnerable sectors like the senior citizens who are prone to covid-19 transmission and to use ‘recoridas’ in different barangays regularly to entice the people to get vaccinated and follow the minimum health protocols.

Gustilo observed that many people around the city are still not following the health protocol including proper wearing of facemasks and face shields.

He added that he himself got vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine in order to be protected and to show the people that there is nothing to be afraid. “I haven’t experienced any side effects after the inoculation,” he said.

He also urged the village chieftains to also get vaccinated to show to their community that the vaccine is safe and reliable and encourage them follow.

The Vaccine Cluster leader headed by City Administrator Atty. Estefanio Libutan talked about the plans of mobile vaccination and the use of online vaccination registration using smartphones and the internet.

Libutan, also a senior citizen shared his personal experience on how safe the vaccine after being inoculated and felt no side effects at all.
