Businesses and tourists will soon have more options to connect to Panay island with the opening of the P100 million roll-on, roll-off port in EB Magalona town.

The terminal building is also finished.

F.F. Cruz Shipping, the developer of the port, confirmed that the demobilization of equipment and clearing has officially commenced Saturday, October 16, in preparation for opening of a new RoRo route that will connect EB Magalona to Bay-ang port in the town of Ajuy in Iloilo.

The port located in Brgy. Mantagaan in EB Magalona is composed of 4 roro ramps, with 2 ramps facing Panay Island and 1 ramp each facing north and south. The new route aims to shorten sea travel between Negros island and the northern side of Iloilo. At present, RoRo travelers and inbound and outbound cargos can only connect to the northern part of Iloilo via BREDCO-Dumangas route.
