Reg’l IATF issues moratorium for San Carlos & Victorias LSIs

The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force has approved the request of the cities of Victorias and San Carlos for the suspension of the arrival of Locally Stranded Individuals.

In its resolution, the RIATF approved the request of Victorias for a 7-day moratorium on the return of LSIs and overseas workers while the city prepares and decongest its facilities for the next batch of arrivals. This will take effect today, October 23 and will last until Oct. 30.

Meanwhile, San Carlos will not process returning LSIs and OFWs from today until November 6.

The Provincial Incident Management Team of Negros Occidental advises affected individuals to refrain in proceeding to airports and seaports and instead arrange for an adjustments on their travel itineraries.

Individuals bound to these cities will be restricted in boarding the aircraft or sea vessel.
