Philippine Airlines has officially suspended its inbound flights from the United Kingdom until end of December 2020 following the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) restricting inbound travel from the UK.

PAL has also decided to suspend its flights to and from London until the end of February 2021.

Before this latest IATF Resolution, PAL has been serving the Manila – London – Manila route once a week.

This latest government directive has led to the cancellation of the 29 December Manila – London flight PR720, PAL said in a statement. It is also suspending flights from January to February 2021 as the airline await for further clarity on the situation.

Passengers of these cancelled flights may rebook on the next available flights with rebooking service fees waives, PAL said. They may also refund the cost of their ticket with refunding service fees waived. A third available option is the conversion of the PAL ticket into a Travel Voucher for future use.

“We are monitoring the situation in the UK. As we keep a close watch on this evolving situation, it is in the best interest of all to suspend flights on the route,” PAL stressed.

It also assured travelers that appropriate announcements will be made as developments unfold.

The flag carrier said it supports all measures that seeks to curb any potential increase in COVID-19 cases during the holiday season and beyond.
