Less than 10 days since the government has mandated all mobile phone users to register their existing numbers, over 11 million sim card have already been registered per report from the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT).
According to the information provided by the public telecommunication entities (PTEs) to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Smart Communications Inc. reported π, πππ,πππ SIMs registered, followed by Globe Telecom Inc. with π,πππ,πππ SIMs registered, and DITO Telecommunity have reported π,πππ,πππ SIMs registered within its system.
