Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) announces that no disconnection policy shall be implemented to all Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) with unpaid bills falling due on March 2021 provided that the consumption level is at 80kWh and below.
This is in compliance with the Department of Energy (DOE) Advisory dated February 5, 2021, enjoining all distribution utilities nationwide to implement the no disconnection policy for electricity consumers whose consumption levels are within the lifeline rate set by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). For CENECO, the ERC-approved lifeline rate is 80kWh.
However, CENECO will continue to implement disconnection to non-lifeline consumers. MCOs who have the ability to pay are encouraged to settle their bills within the original due date to help manage the cash flow in the energy supply chain and ensure continuous supply of electricity.
