The 12-hour scheduled power outage in Negros Occidental will affect more areas on Sunday, May 22, according to the National Grid Corporation (NGCP).
NGCP stated on Twitter that their upgrading activities will also affect consumers serviced by the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO).
NOCECO confirmed in a separate statement that at least 6 towns and cities in Southern Negros Occidental will be without electricity from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NOCECO said the whole of Valladolid, Pulupandan & San Enrique towns will have no power for 12 hours. Meanwhile, in La Carlota City only barangays La Granja, Haguimit, Yubo, Ara-al, San Miguel, Balabag, Nagasi & Cubay will be spared from the whole day power outage.
Also affected are the towns of Pontevedra and Hinigaran, except for barangays Zamora & Mabini in Pontevedra and portion of Brgy. Gargato in Hinigaran.
