Mayor lifts Sunday market lockdown

Mayor Evelio Leonardia has signed Executive Order No. 68, officially lifting the Sunday lockdown in 3 major markets of the city.

In his EO, the mayor said: “Considering the results Of the “Surveillance Testing” at the three (3) major public markets, i.e., the Central Market, the Burgos Market, and the Libertad Market, pursuant to EO 59, s. 2020 and EO 66, s. 2020, that determined their safety environment for operations, the Sunday lockdown is considered as no longer presently imperative and may now be lifted. “

However, the periodic clean-up and disinfection of the said markets shall continue to be observed on Saturday or Sunday nights after these markets have closed for the day.
