Mayor extends assistance to fire victims in Alijis

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental— Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran today, August 18, the distribution of P132,000 worth of financial assistance to the residents of Purok San Jose, Barangay Alijis who were hit by fire Sunday.

The fire affected 17 families, 11 of whom had their houses totally damaged, 2 partially damaged, while 4 families are sharers.

Families with totally damaged houses received P10,000 each, while those with partially damaged houses received P5,000 each.

Sharers residing in damaged houses received P3,000 each.

Yesterday, August 17, the city government and city officials, along with several private organizations, also gave out food packs and other supplies to the residents.

Joining Leonardia today are Councilor Renecito Novero, City Administrator Em Ang, DSSD head Pacita Tero, DSSD assistant head Sally Abelarde, consultant Marlon Solidum, Punong Barangay Deogracias Dela Vega, Kagawads Roberto Ignalaga, Ebony Dela Vega, Faustino Eugenio, and Wilfred Buyco, and SK chairman Reymar Verga.
