The Land Tax Division of the Bacolod City Treasurer’s Office recently opened a temporary satellite office at the first floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central to accept advance payments for the 2021 Real Property Tax (RPT), with 20 percent discount, if the RPT due for the whole year of 2021 or, at the very least, for the first and second quarters of 2021, are fully paid before December 31, 2020, according to assistant city treasurer Arlene Memoria.

While the City Treasurer’s Office at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) will continue receiving these RPT payments too, this service at the mall is to provide an additional venue for it so that payors need not all flock to the BCGC to pay for their RPT. This way, social distancing protocols can be better observed at these two sites, Memoria added.

“This will make our services more accessible and convenient to our clients in line with our thrust to keep our city ‘business-friendly’ as it has always been our credo,” Mayor Evelio Leonardia, on his part, explained this new innovation.

Service hours of the satellite office at Ayala Malls shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on days when said office shall be open to the public.

From November 16 to 27, RPT payments at Ayala Malls will be accepted from Mondays to Fridays. From November 28 to December 30, the service will be made available daily – from Mondays to Sundays, except on December 25 when it shall be closed.

Meanwhile, RPT payments at the BCGC will continue to be received from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on regular working days. In addition, these payments at the BCGC will also be accepted every Saturday in December and on December 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Clients must bring their previous year’s official receipt or tax declaration.
