Gov. Eugenio “Bong” Lacson publicly announced that he is supporting the bid of vice presidential candidate Tito Sotto for the May election. The governor made his announcement today, March 14, 3 days after he appeared on stage with Senator Kiko Pangilinan at the grand rally of presidential candidate VP Leni Robredo.
Lacson said his endorsement for Sotto was based on the decision of the Nationalist People’s Coalition to support Sotto’s candidacy, of which he is a member.
According to the governor Pangilinan who was with Robredo was made aware about the decision and the senator undertood it, even his wife the mega-star Sharon Cuneta.
Sotto is the chairman of the NPC, and is running in tandem with Ping Lacson, the standard bearer and chairman of Partido Reporma.
