Incumbent Kabankalan City Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr on Sunday, May 15, said that he has accepted the turnout of the May 9 elections, which was in favor to his opponent, kagawad Benjie Martabu Miranda of Brgy. Tan-awan.
In a statement, Zayco, who lost against Miranda with only 278 votes difference said that he respect the result of the polls and called on his constituents to support the new administration for the progress of Kabankalan City.
Miranda, a former barangay captain of Tan-awan, thanked his supporters who spent and contributed their personal time and money for his campaign.
He shared his victory to all his supporters as he called on the support of the Kabankalanons to work together for the transformation of their city.
