Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) has warned consumers to expect higher electricity bills next month due to a tightening supply of electricity in parts of the country.
In an advisory released Wednesday, May 27, the utility explained that the limited supply is projected to increase generation costs, which will impact the upcoming billing cycle.
Recognizing the financial burden this places on both residential and commercial consumers, Negros Power stated it is actively monitoring grid conditions. The company is currently implementing measures to secure power volumes efficiently and manage procurement strategies in an effort to minimize the final impact on electricity bills.
