Following the discovery of heaps of rubbish scattered across an empty lot in Barangay 14, Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Aberlardo Benitez has ordered the installation of two garbage receptacles where the community can properly dispose of their waste.
Benitez, who witnessed the piles of garbage during his visit last Friday evening, January 27, immediately notified IPM and ordered the waste to be collected immediately.
The mayor expects that the delivery of trash containers will help solve the community’s awful state of garbage.
Benitez also asked residents to throw their trash in the appropriate place, stressing that maintaining the cleanliness of their community required the help of everyone.
