The 94th Infantry Battalion together with DSWD Region 6, Negros Occidental DSWD, and the Local Government Unit of Himamaylan City through its City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) facilitated the distribution of cash assistance to 37 former rebels on November 22.

The assistance serves as support for the mobilization expenses of the FRs while their enrolment in the E-CLIP program is being processed.
The former rebels expressed their gratitude to the government for helping them back to the mainstream society.
– one of the former rebels said in his testimony.
Ltc. Van Donald L Almonte, the 94IB Commander, gave his sincere gratitude to DSWD Region 6 and to the Local Government of Himamaylan City as partners in the endeavor of 94IB to end insurgency and make way for a just and lasting peace in the hinterland communities of the City.
“I am appealing to all the remaining NPAs to surrender now, if 94IB loves you, I am sure that Himamaylan City loves you too.” He added.
