A fire destroyed a house owned by a barangay health worker in San Mateo Village, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City last night, March 12.
The daughter of the homeowner, Anthea Locsin, said their family was out for dinner when the fire broke.
When Locsin returned, their house was already on fire, and they had to break the gate to contain the fire. Unfortunately, the homeowner had difficulty opening the padlock, and the fire rapidly consumed the house.
The extent of the damage caused by the fire is still being investigated by the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod. It is unclear if any appliances inside the house were plugged in at the time of the incident.
