Family of doctors first to receive AstraZeneca vaccines in Bacolod

Four medical doctors and five BHWs (Barangay Health Workers) have received their first dose of AstraZeneca vaccines at the Bacolod City Government Center Saturday, March 13.

Dr. Eli Cong, Dr. Joyce Cong, and Dr. Joseph Cong – a family of doctors – is the first family in Bacolod to be inoculated with AstraZeneca vaccines and the first family in this city to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

The BHW vaccinees are Excelsa Landero, Virginia Magbanua, Rupina Arceña, Annabele Regacho, and Suzette Ico.

Their vaccines are part of the 312 vials of AstraZeneca allotted for Bacolod City that arrived at the BREDCO Port via roll-on/ roll-off vessel Our Lady of the Philippines Navistar Two, Friday, March 12.

The vaccines were allotted by the national government to Bacolod City through the Department of Health- Western Visayas (DOH-6).

Each vial contains 10 doses.
