DSB closes down businesses without permit

A number of businesses operating along the highway of Don Salvador Benedicto were ordered to ceased from operating due to lack of necessary permits.

In a Facebook post of the town it said that “Pursuant to Chapter II, Section 17 (Par. A), any person who shall establish, operate or conduct any businesses, trade or activity mentioned in this Chapter in this Municipality shall first obtain a Mayor’s Permit and pay the fee therefore and the business tax imposed under the pertinent Article”.

This is in constant to Section 129 and 132 of R.A 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991″

The town officials of DSB asked those establishments that were shutdown to secure s necessary permit in order for them to continue doing business in the town.
