Mayor Evelio Leonardia has created a post-election clean-up committee tasked to remove election campaign materials.

In his Executive Order No. 24, Leonardia directed members of the committee to ensure the speedy removal of campaign materials and coordinate with the presidents of the Liga ng mga Barangay and the Sangguniang Kabataan in the conduct of the clean-up as well as with the garbage collection contractor, IPM Services.

City Administrator and Action officer of the Post-Election Clean-Up Committee Atty. Edward Joseph Cuansing called a second meeting together with the members of the PECUC for a situationer and tackled concerns regarding the removal of campaign materials today, May 13.

The team will start removing campaign materials such as tarpaulins which are easy to remove, unlike posters which are glued directly to walls.

General Services Office head Gilda Lluisma on the other hand said that some of the tarpaulins that they removed were given to La Consolacion College Bacolod to be recycled by the students.
