The Central Negros Electric Cooperative has warned its consumers about a new modus operandi where individuals are posing as payment collectors.

In its advisory, CENECO reminded consumers to only settle their monthly electricity bill payments through its authorized collection partners to avoid falling prey to this scam.

According to CENECO, many consumers have fallen victim to this modus operandi, resulting in the loss of their money and experiencing power disruptions due to disconnection.

CENECO said it only authorized ALVIO, SaveMore Customer Service, and accredited collecting banks as its partner to process and collect payments.

Consumers are advised to visit the official Facebook page of CENECO for more information on where to pay their bills securely.
