From P3,200, now it’s down to P2,500 after the Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), made a price cut on its RT-PCR Test Before Boarding (TBB) with a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround time.

This rate, exclusive for CEB passengers, is the cheapest rate offered by any local carrier, the airline said in a press statement sent to Negros News Online.

The testing is offered by CEB’s partner, Safeguard DNA Diagnostics Inc. (SDDI), which has facilities in Mandaluyong, Davao, and Bacolod.

Unvaccinated passengers, and those who have not yet completed the required complete dosage may still need to secure negative RT-PCR tests upon entry if their destination’s local government unit requires it.

“We are committed to keep not only our flights as affordable as possible, but even our services across the board. As some local and international destinations may still require negative RT-PCR test results, we made sure we are able to provide the cheapest rates in the market which may conveniently be availed by everyJuan through our website,” said Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience.

Passengers booked on Cebu Pacific and Cebgo can easily choose and book appointments via http://bit.ly/CEBTestOptions. From there, everyJuan will be redirected to each laboratory’s page to finalize their schedule online.

CEB also offers special rates through its two other accredited partners, Health Metrics, Inc. (HMI) and Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory (PADLAB). The former offers its RT-PCR tests released within 48 hours at only PHP 2,500, while its tests with a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround period is priced at PHP 3,200.

PADLAB, on the other hand, offers its RT-PCR tests with a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround at PHP 2,899, while its tests released within 48 hours is available for only PHP 2,699. This laboratory also offers antigen tests exclusively for CEB passengers for only PHP 675 at the TBB testing facility at the NAIA Terminal 3.

Testing is just one out of the three key steps CEB strictly implements to regain passenger confidence. Other approaches include safety and sanitation, as well as track and trace. CEB continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety and has been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance. Passengers are also constantly reminded to register in the Department of Transportation’s Traze App for a more efficient contact tracing process.

Guests are strongly urged to always check with the LGU of their destination for latest updates. For a list of travel requirements, testing options, flexibility options and frequently asked questions, passengers may conveniently visit www.cebupacificair.com.
