Capitol releases P2M allowance to 1,000 scholars

A total of P2 Million worth of stipend/allowance were released to 1,000 Project FREE scholarship grantees of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

Gov. Bong Lacson led the distribution held at the University of St. La Salle – Bacolod.

“It is always an honor for me to be in the presence of teachers, for society cannot stand without you,” said Gov. Lacson.

According to Negros Occ. Scholarship Program Head, Karen Dinsay, the scholars belong to the Third Batch of grantees and will be graduating in December.

The Project FREE is open to all public elementary and high school teachers of Negros Occidental, who would like to pursue masteral or doctoral degrees at USLS.
