Barker shot and killed in Brgy. 2

A barker was shot and killed by an unidentified suspect at around 3 a.m. on April 8, in Prk. Kagaykay Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.

The victim was identified as Stephen Bachoco III, 32 years old, and a resident of Purok Tahong, Brgy. 2.

Police said that two people were seen talking to the victim near a bakery and the Barangay Hall before the suspect suddenly appeared and shot him on the head.

Bachoco tried to escaped towards Prk. Kagaykay but was shot again and eventually fell.

The suspect fled towards Prk. Sigay.

According to Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, the chief of Bacolod City Police Station 2, Bachoco was previously imprisoned in Muntinlupa City for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and was also arrested by the same police station for violating RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The police are currently looking into one suspect, but they are also investigating whether the two people who were conversing to the victim were lookouts.
