Bacolod City has commenced its third COVID-19 booster rollout with bivalent vaccines.

The bivalent vaccines are a new type of vaccine that offer enhanced protection against COVID-19 caused by both the original strain and the Omicron variant.

The first round of the booster rollout is being targeted at healthcare workers in both public and private hospitals.

Mayor Benitez’s administration has been a vocal advocate for the health and well-being of Bacolodnons, consistently emphasizing the importance of vaccination as a crucial tool in the fight against the virus. The mayor applauds the commitment of the dedicated healthcare workers who have relentlessly served the community throughout the challenging times brought about by the pandemic.

The DOH Regional Office has allocated a total of 1,608 doses of the bivalent vaccine specifically for Bacolod City. These doses have been generously donated by the Lithuanian government, demonstrating international solidarity in the face of a global health crisis.
