Breath better. This as the city government of Bacolod issued an executive order lifting the mandatory use of face masks in open spaces.

Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez in his Executive Order No. 33 said that in response to the policy of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the optional wearing of face masks in open spaces and uncrowded outdoor areas are in effect in Bacolod starting September 13.

But similar to the order of Marcos, the wearing of face masks shall continue in medical facilities, indoor private or public establishments, including public transportations by land, air, or sea, the mayor stresses.

He added that individuals who are not fully vaccinated, senior citizens, and immuno-compromised are highly encouraged to wear their face masks and observe health protocols.
