Molnupiravir, an oral antiviral drug used to prevent the spread of COVID-19, is now officially available on the HealthNow mobile application, the all-in-one health app developed by AC Health and Globe’s 917Ventures.
In a press statement, Globe said COVID-19 positive patients interested in Molnupiravir may consult with a doctor on the HealthNow app to check its eligibility.
Once registered, a user must search or choose with any of the QualiMed or Healthway institution partner doctors. When diagnosed of COVID-19, the doctor will issue an e-prescription for the said anti-viral drug which can be ordered through the mobile application. First time user may use the promo code MOLNUCON to get P100 off the Consult Later service.
The antiviral pill is currently available for purchase in QualiMed Health Network in Iloilo, Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan and Batangas.
Molnupiravir helped cut the rate of hospitalization and death by half in a trial of mild-to-moderately ill patients who had at least one risk factor for the disease, according to reports.
