Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez led the ceremonial distribution of the Bacolod Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP) today, March 6, at the flag raising ceremony held at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds.

The Bacolod City Government employees witnessed the ceremonial turn over and celebrated the successful recovery of the program’s first beneficiary, Junry Ari.

Junry Ari was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer, and was struggling to afford his medication. However, with the help of the BacCHP program, Ari received the necessary treatment and is now recovering.

The BacCHP program is an initiative of the Bacolod City Government to provide comprehensive health care coverage to the city’s indigent patients. The program aims to cover an initial 20,000 beneficiaries and provide them with access to quality health care services.

The distribution of the BacCHP cards marks an important milestone in the city’s efforts to improve the health and well-being of its citizens. The program provides a safety net for the most vulnerable members of the community, ensuring that they have access to the care they need without having to worry about the financial burden.
