Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical, data analysis and management of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force, said that a total of 920 minors, aged 12 to 17, were administered Pfizer jabs in 3 vaccination sites today, November 3.
About 300 teeners with co-morbidities were inoculated at Riverside Medical Center; 300 more at the SMX of SM City Mall; and 320 at Ayala Malls from the general pediatric population, Sorongon said.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia said: “It’s a very encouraging turnout. And I cannot overemphasize the fact that this is the result of the hard work of our medical frontliners and volunteers.”
Last Friday, October 29, 266 minors got their COVID jabs, the highest number of vaccinees nationwide in the maiden run of the pediatric A3 vaccination program, the Department of Health.
Teeners with co-morbidities can still get their jabs at Riverside tomorrow, November 4. The vaccination runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sorongon said.
The Ayala Malls vaccination starts at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. while SMX is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Mondays to Sundays, he added.
Vaccines are required to bring their birth certificates and proof of filiation and must be accompanied by either their parents or guardians.
