Mayor meets market vendors associations

A week after former Congressman Albee Benetiz visited the public markets in Bacolod, Mayor Evelio Leonardia held a consultative meeting with the officers of market vendors associations today, May 2, to discuss the priority projects for the three major public markets in Bacolod.

Leoanardia met with markets vendor leaders from Libertad, Central, and Burgos Markets and was joined by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, and City Administrator Em Ang.

The mayor shared plans for the repair, rehabilitation, and improvement of the three markets.

Joining the meeting are Efren Mangalus, president of City-wide Market Vendors Association, and also of the Libertad Market Vendors Association (LIMVA); Ramil Real, president of Amelia Market Vendors Association (AMVA); Rethelyn Vinas, president of Kaisahan sang Bacolodnon sa Merkado (KBM)-Central Market Chapter; Marlet Ongada, president of Central Market Vendors Association; Lucelyn de la Paz, president of Burgos Vendors Association (BURVA); Rubin Casipe, president of Burgos Fish Vendors Association; Joe Martin Coniendo, president of Burgos Market Vendors Brotherhood Association; and three other officials of City-wide Market Vendors Association, namely, Linda Grate, Jasmin, and Louie.

Also joining them are City Engineer’s Office head Engr. Aladino Agbones, Engr. Xenia Locsin, Engr. Joebert Tambanillo, and Architect Jaries Encabo; and Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda, head of CMO-Sectoral Concerns Office.
