In San Carlos City, Employees from the Traffic Management Authority and personnel of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council underwent a surprise drug test as part of the city’s anti-drug campaign.
According to City Legal Assistance II Ana Liza Macaraya, at least 58 personnel from the traffic management unit and 5 staff of the San Carlos City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (SCCADAC) were tested.
Macaraya, who is also the SCCADAC Secretariat, said the drug testing was done to ensure a drug free office in the local government.
She added that it is also mandated under the city’s ordinance, Civil Service Commission and the R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
