Megaworld Corporation, a leading property developer, has successfully completed No. 1 Upper East Avenue, Bacolod City’s most modern and sustainable office tower, with a still unnamed New York-based business process outsourcing company as one of its tenants.
In a statement, Megaworld said that the No. 1 Upper East Avenue is set to accommodate three prominent companies: a New York-based BPO solutions provider, a leading Philippine insurance and investment firm, and a major Negros-based distributor of wellness and essential products. This influx of businesses is expected to generate approximately 5,000 jobs for the local community.
This landmark development, situated within the 34-hectare The Upper East township, is poised to elevate the city’s business landscape and create significant job opportunities.
As the first LEED-registered office building in Bacolod, No. 1 Upper East Avenue incorporates eco-friendly features and sustainable practices, reflecting Megaworld’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The four-story building offers 8,740 square meters of prime office space, designed to inspire productivity and innovation.
Inspired by Silicon Valley’s campus-style developments, the building provides a refreshing and collaborative work environment. Employees will enjoy access to modern amenities such as 24/7 back-up power, high-speed elevators, spacious restrooms with showers, and a serene rooftop garden offering panoramic views of the city.
The ground floor will feature a recruitment center, cafes, restaurants, and retail shops, catering to the needs of both tenants and visitors.
“Megaworld’s investment of P1.2 billion in these state-of-the-art office towers underscores our dedication to transforming Bacolod City into a thriving business hub,” said Roland Tiongson, First Vice President and Head of Megaworld Premier Offices.
