The Campuestohan Highland Resort owned by politician Ricardo “Cano” Tan has made history by securing a Guinness World Records title for the “largest building in the shape of a chicken.”
The iconic “Manok ni Cano Gwapo Tan” was officially recognized last Saturday, October 19.
Mai Mc Milan, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, announced the historic achievement via video message. She praised the unique structure and confirmed its status as the world’s largest chicken-shaped building after a rigorous verification process.
Tan, the visionary behind the project, expressed his pride and gratitude for the recognition.
He shared the journey of building the iconic structure, which took 456 days from groundbreaking to official certification. Tan’s dream was to create a lasting legacy for the people of Negros and to honor the province’s rich cultural heritage, particularly its famous fighting cock industry.
The newly added structure at Campuestohan is expected to attract tourists from all over the world and contribute to the growth of local tourism.
