The Bacolod-Silay Airport is currently on a no fly zone due to the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon in Negros Island on Monday evening, June 3, and the subsequent presence of volcanic ash in the surrounding airspace.

As of June 3, 10:30PM, the following Cebu Pacific (CEB) flights are cancelled:

  • 5J 461/462: Manila – Iloilo – Manila
  • 5J 463/464: Manila – Iloilo – Manila

Affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website here:

  1. Free Rebooking
Rebook without fare difference for travel up to thirty (30) days from the original flight date. The fare difference will apply if the travel period is beyond thirty (30) days from the original flight date.
  2. Travel Fund
Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (e.g., baggage allowance, seat selection).
  3. Refund
    Full refund of your ticket.

CEB is also offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to Bacolod and Iloilo on June 4. They may avail themselves of their preferred option online up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.

The safety of our passengers and crew is our priority and we are monitoring the situation closely, the Gokongwei-led airline said.

As this is a developing situation, some flight changes may take place in the coming days, it added. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights via this link and update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.
