Nine areas in Northern Negros Occidental will experience a 12-hour power outage on Sunday, April 3, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
The scheduled power interruption will run from 6AM-6PM according to NGCP due to the shutdown of its Bacolod-Cadiz 138kV transmission line for the installation of line lightning arrester at the NGCP Substation. It is also scheduled to perform Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS) and correction of defects along isolated lines affecting high voltage equipment including the protection and secondary devices.
This will affect the whole coverage areas of Northern Negros Electric Cooperative in towns of EB Magalona, Manapla, Toboso, Calatrava and cities of Victorias, Cadiz, Sagay, Escalante and San Carlos.
During this time, NONECO said it will also conduct thd following activities.
- NONECO 20 MVA San Carlos Substation will be load shifted to Guihulngan 69kV Transmission line to minimize power interruption in Calatrava, and San Carlos City.
- NONECO 5 MVA Manapla and 15 MVA Victorias Substation will be load shifted to Bacolod – Victorias 69kV Transmission line to minimize power interruption in EB Magalona, Victorias City, and Manapla.
