Sixty schools around Negros Occidental were recommended to expand its limited face-to-face (F2F) classes from kindergarten to Grade 12 once the current COVID-19 alert level will be de-escalated to alert level 2.

At least 16 schools under the Negros Occidental and Silay City divisions were recommended for limited F2F classes, according to the Department of Education, but the list of schools were not released yet.

Also recommended to resume limited F2F classes were 10 schools in under Sagay City, 8 in San Carlos City, 4 in Cadiz City, 3 in Escalante City, 2 in Himamaylan City and 1 in Victorias.

In Bacolod City, no schools were recommended yet for the resumption of limited F2F. But some private schools have started conducting surveys to get the parents’ sentiments for the possible F2F classes.

Under the DepEd memorandum, private schools can also start F2F classes if they pass DepEd’s assessment and comply with its guidelines.
