The Sipalay Water District broke ground for the expansion of the water supply from Brgy. Mambaroto to Brgy. Gil Montilla.
The ground breaking ceremony was led by Mayor Maria Gina Lizares in a simple activity held at Brgy. Gil Montilla Covered Court.
In her message, Mayor Gina stressed that Sipalaynons need clean and sustainable water sources. By planting and growing trees around the watersheds, we can help sustain our water supply.
She further encouraged the barangay officials to have a program to strengthen the implementation of tree growing in their respective communities.
Present during the ceremony were SCWD General Manager of Sipalay Ar. Eduardo Quaycong Jr., together with Chairman of the Board Ramon Duayan.
The officials of Brgy. Mambaroto and Brgy. Gil Montilla, together with City Administrator Philip Zamora, Hon. Claudio Bacatan and Hon. Bobby Domingo were also present.
