The Bacolod Emergency Operations Center is not lowering its guard against COVID-19 now that mall traffic is increasing due to various promotional sales.

According to EOC Chair Em Ang, the city is in close coordination with mall operators to ensure the strict implementation of health protocols as buyers are expect to flock to the malls during the mall-wide sale.

The three major malls in Bacolod, to include Ayala, SM and Robinsons were approved by the Department of Trade and Industry to run various promotional sales from November until Christmas.

According to Ang, the EOC has also deployed inspectors during the run of promotional sales to monitor buyers’ compliance on the minimum health standards.

Aside from the facemask, Bacolod are now requiring mall goers to wear a faceshield while inside the mall.
