Porter recognized on V-Day

A 21-year-old resident of San Carlos City was recognized today, February 14, for his dedication and support to the growth of the tourism despite his disability.

Alexander Labrador, a porter at the Sipaway Port, were honored by the provincial government of Negros Occidental thru San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo who presented a plaque of recognition and cash incentive at the City Mayor’s Office.

Labrador was accompanied by his immediate family during the turnover of plaque facilitated by the Tourism Office staff.

His mother, Editha Labrador thanked the city government for said recognition and was also grateful to God that she was given a responsible son who despite his impairment as deaf and half-mute still helps the family.

Mayor Gustilo also handed over an additional cash gift of P2,000 to the recipient.
