Eleven towns and cities were also authorized to suspend in receiving LSIs.

Starting December 21, all Bacolod-bound Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) will no longer be accepted in Bacolod after the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force approved a request for a moratorium.

The resolution signed by Reg’l IATF Chair  Juan Ingeniero  approved the request for suspension for the period of December 21 up to January 3, 2021. However, returning overseas Filipinos are exempted from the travel ban.

In its Resolution No. 95, the regional task force said that it approved the request initiated by Councilor Cindy Rojas for the suspension of LSI’s return in Bacolod.

The application for a moratorium will allow the city to rehabilitate its existing quarantine facilities and to also allow medical frontliners to have a break during the holidays.

Aside from Bacolod, returning residents bound for the following local government units in Negros Occidental were also suspended:

  • Ilog and Cauayan (Dec. 20-Jan. 3)
  • La Carlota City (Dec. 22 to Jan. 2)
  • Pontevedra and La Castellana (Dec. 22 – Jan. 5)
  • Himamaylan, Victorias and Calatrava (Dec. 21- Jan. 3)
  • Bago City (Nov. 26 – Dec. 5)
  • Sagay City (Nov.26 to Dec. 10)
  • Hinoba-an (Dec. 16 to 22)
