Fastcraft operator, Weesam Express, has officially resumed sea travel between Bacolod and Iloilo cities, today, January 25.

In an advisory, the fastcraft operator said it will maintain 2 trips from Bacolod with its first trip departing at 6:30AM and its last trip at 1:10PM. Meanwhile its return trip from Iloilo will be at 11:30AM and 2:50PM.

Frank Carbon, operator of Weesam, said the decision to resume their daily trips between the 2 highly urbanized cities was the result of the harmonized travel guidelines between the 2 cities.

In an executive order issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, it amended previous guidelines where travelers are required to present a negative RT-PCR result taken within 72hrs, regardless of their vaccination status.

The mayor had scrapped this requirement for fully vaccinated individuals. The same EO was issued by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.

But unvaccinated travelers entering the Bacolod port are still required to present a valid negative antigen test. For those heading to Iloilo, a negative RT-PCR is still required for unvaccinated travelers.
