The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Incorporated (UNO-R) garnered seven distinguished awards from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI (CHEDRO VI) during the 3rd CHED Regional Quality Awards.
The ceremony, celebrating the Commission’s 30th anniversary and 4th Higher Education Day, was held at the Urdaneta Hall of the University of San Agustin.

UNO-R was honored with the following awards:
- Award for Excellence in Research
- Award for Excellence in Peace Education
- Award for Excellence in Indigenous People’s Education
- Award for Excellence in Student Affairs and Services
- Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Innovative Awards for Higher Education
- Model Implementor: StuFaps
- Recognition for the provision of support to CHEDRO VI endeavors
These accolades recognize the university’s outstanding contributions in the areas of instruction, research, and community extension. They reflect UNO-R’s dedication to advancing education and fostering a positive impact on society.
